+ About Lucy McCourt

I'm a clinical psychologist who works with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, mood disturbances, as well as other challenges that they may be facing. I aim to create a space that feels safe, respectful, and grounded—where you can explore what’s going on beneath the surface and feel genuinely supported.

I’ve worked with people from many different walks of life, including those in high-pressure and caregiving roles. While each person’s story is unique, I’m consistently inspired by the resilience and strength that can emerge even in the most difficult circumstances.

I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and schema therapy. I also pay close attention to how physical health and long-term medical conditions can shape emotional wellbeing, and I tailor my work to reflect each person’s needs.

Developing insight is a key part of the process—I work with clients to deepen their understanding of patterns, beliefs, and emotional responses, creating space for greater self-awareness and more intentional choices
